Properties:

• Long-term effect for at least 24 hours
• Broad range of antiseptic effects (bactericidal incl. Mycobacteria and MRSA, fungicidal, limited virucidal including HIV, HBV, HCV, HSV)
• Very quick onset of action and very good skin tolerance

Application areas:

• For preoperative skin antiseptics / postoperative sutures
• Before catheterizations, injections, blood sampling, punctures, excisions, cannulations and biopsies
• To support general hygienic measures in the context of the prevention of skin fungal diseases
• For hygienic hand disinfection *

Instructions for use

Before all invasive procedures

• Use kodan® undiluted
• Spray the affected skin area or apply it with a soaked swab, ensure complete wetting of the skin and observe the exposure times
• Absorb excess preparation to avoid puddling

At preoperative skin antiseptics

• Mechanically shorten or chemically remove hair from the affected area
• Basic preoperative washes (e.g. with octenisan®) are recommended
• To avoid blurring of skin markings, only use skin marker pens with sufficient alcohol resistance (e.g. Devon ™ Surgical Mini Marker Pen (REF 31146020))
